Objective
Create an Auto Attendant greeting in Admin Console.

Procedure
Step 1: Log in to Admin Console
- Log in to the 8x8 Admin Console.
- Click Auto Attendants.
Step 2: Create or Edit an Auto Attendant
- To create a new Auto Attendant, click Create Auto Attendant.
- To update an existing Auto Attendant, click the Edit (pencil) icon next to the Auto Attendant.
Step 3: Select the Call Handling Menu
- In the Call Handling Menus section, select the menu where you want to add or update a greeting.

You must assign a Site to the Auto Attendant before the Call Handling Menus are available.

Step 4: Choose a Greeting Option
You can configure the greeting in one of the following ways:
- Use Text-to-Speech
- Enter the text you want read aloud by an automated voice.
- Click Save.
- Enter the text you want read aloud by an automated voice.
- Skip Playing Prompt
- No greeting is played.
- Calls go directly to the menu options.
- Click Save.
- Play Audio (Recorded Greeting) and then click Select File, then continue to Step 5 to record a greeting.
Step 5: Record an Audio Greeting
- Click + Create Audio Files.
- From the pop-up menu, select By Calling a Number to Record.
- Enter:
- A name for the recording
- The phone number or extension to call
- A name for the recording
- Click Call Now.
- Answer the call and record your greeting.
- Save the recording.

Result
Your Auto Attendant greeting is now saved and will play for callers based on your configured menu settings.
Step 6: Confirm and Finish
- Wait for confirmation that the audio file has uploaded successfully.
- Click Finished only after receiving the confirmation.
- End the call.
