Overview
The Next Gen Teams Sync option appears in the 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams admin portal in Services > Teams.
This new option adds enhancements to the Sync Now process, providing additional sync log feedback as well as cleaner logging of sync activities. It is also typically faster than the base Sync Now process.

Note that enabling Next Gen Teams Sync is a prerequisite to enabling the Auto Sync option, which provides automated sync of changes to users in 8x8 Admin Console. Enable Next Gen Teams Sync
To enable this option:
- Log into the 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams admin portal. This is linked in the 8x8 Admin Console in the Home section.
- Navigate to the Services > Teams tab.
- Click the Next Gen Teams Sync toggle switch to enable it (blue).
- Click Save to complete this process.
